The bloody bridge

This is the bridge where my sister Anne and her husband David, with the care giver Veronica, in the back seat, lost their lives on 18th August. Two relatives/friends of my sister called this “That bloody bridge”. Why you might ask? About thirty years ago my mother was driving her sister Paddy from the farm and went over the side of the bridge and landed upside down in the river. Luckily they both escaped unharmed but Aunty Paddy was left hanging upside down attached by her seat belt while my mother (who was about 80 at the time) went for help. Here are some pictures of the bridge and how it was blocked by the cattle as we made our way to the family funeral last Friday.
